Vow of Silence Day

We are inviting all our bereaved parents and others to participate worldwide in

Vow of Silence Day

Often used monastically, a vow of silence in this context is to honor our children who have died, and to hold a space for them within our hearts.

Simply begin your silence at midnight on Sunday, April 28 and continue until 11:59pm. You are welcome to invite others to a day of silence in memory of your beloved one and may share this jpg for anyone to wear should they wish to do so.

Please feel free to share this with anyone you feel may benefit from this experience. And know that around the world, other mourners will be joining you in the silence for our Beloveds.

You will have a chance to come back here and share your stories of silence.

Deep bows to you and your Beloved.

Save your jpg in high quality here

Michael Sansone for Anasazi Board 2013

Hello Fellow Residents and Owners at Anasazi Condo's

I have decided to run for the opening Board Position in the 2013 Election here at Anasazi.

Here is a brief Bio on me followed by my platform for running for Board.

Mr.Michael Sansone is a 9 year Anasazi Resident/Owner who as a professional is a seasoned marketing business leader with direct, traditional and Internet marketing experience as well as proven management skills and strong 15 year track record. Extensive experience in business management,Budget Management, Heavy Sales Exp and product management,  sales promotion, branding and communications for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer products.Experienced in constructing business cases, defining business requirements, managing creative and technical resources, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing .

Mr Sansone is also a Mentor for the MISS Foundation
I have been involved for over 9 years in mentoring Other parents who have lost a child along with myself
You may see my Mentor page at link below
http://missfoundation.org/bios/msansone.html

         MY PLATFORM FOR RUNNING

As a Resident here I believe it is time to return Anasazi back to the Residents, As you know I am a supporter of having a Resident or mostly Resident Board here at Anasazi. At this time our Board President is not a resident and has never lived here on the property . My first belief is that the Board President SHOULD be a Full time resident!

I also believe that by having Myself on Board it would be a great asset to having a Board Member on property with an open door policy for Residents to speak with about issues in between meetings. I Will have open door policy!!

Many Residents here have stopped attending Board meeting in general..Reason They have  no voice or a very Short time to try to express their concerns, I believe by opening the floor to residents we will have a better grasp of things going on here.

I also believe that saving the look of Anasazi that we all fell in love with be protected. Our Board is considering taking out many tree's and replacing Much Grass with stone?/.. I believe that because they are not residents The non resident Board members dont care  how the property changes..I say KEEP ANASAZI THE WAY WE FOUND IT AND JUST UPKEEP WITH A LITTLE MORE CARE.

I along with most will also do WHATEVER it takes to keep HOA fee's from rising any higher. There are changes that can be made to accommodate this, Just need a Board willing to listen. There is much waste in our budget here and it needs to be made public and addressed to the residents, We have many Residents here qualified in many fields that want to help?? LETS HAVE SOME RESIDENT COMMITTEES  HERE, WHY WASTE THE KNOWLEDGE AND THOSE OFFERING TO HELP RIGHT HERE IN OUR COMMUNITY

I believe I have the background, The time needed to invest in working on the Board here and also am a owner who plans to live here permanently..

I have been active in many area's here at Anasazi, Having the 1st ever Residents Meetings that filled the clubhouse, started the community walk program, attending all Board meetings. I CARE ABOUT ANASAZI AND OUR INVESTMENTS.

Many of you have asked for change??? Well the time is now..If you want someone that walks the grounds daily, cares about the future of Anasazi and also the concern for safety here??

Then you need to vote for Michael Sansone

ANASAZI IS YOURS RESIDENTS......TIME TO VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR INTERESTS.

x    Michael Sansone is that Person

Please Read and Sign

Hello My Friends !! I need you to take a few seconds and
PLEASE SIGN this VERY IMPORTANT Petition
for me and the other Parents who have lost a Child....
Thank You Michael...
****************************
The MISS Foundation boycotts the DSM5

The MISS Foundation opposes the medicalization of grief.

Please sign and share this petition to boycott the DSM5 for its position that significant grief symptoms, common amongst bereaved parents, beyond two weeks can be diagnosed as a mental illness.

Please sign and share:

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/boycott5/

Let's send a message to the APA that bereaved parents are not mentally ill, and that the death of a baby/child presents unique circumstances for most families which causes enduring and profound psychological distress which is not mental illness.

What bereaved parents need is a compassionate community. What this move will do is further abnormalize and mystify society's already- strained- understanding of a parent's grief.

Thank you.   Michael Sansone  M.I.S.S Hope Mentor

Thank You !!!!!

Michael,
Again, I am pleased that you are running for the board.  Sorry I was not at the meet and greet because I was not in AZ at the time.  I hope it went well and residents were able to learn what an asset you are to our community.
Quick question for you.  We received two voicemails at our home in St. Paul from Sharon in the Anasazi management office.  Is Roe no longer working at Anasazi?  Is Wayne still there?  If there was a change in management, it would be nice if they let the owners know.
I really miss your blog because it kept us informed of what was going on at Anasazi.  Even though we are not full time residents, we deeply care about our community and your blog let us know the issues so we could respond accordingly.
Again, thank you for all that you do!

Thank You for Endorsements Anasazi Residents

RESIDENT ENDORSEMENTS........THANK YOU !!
Here are a few I have received

****************************************************
Dear Mr. Sansone

I fully support your platform, we need board members from our condo community, who's interest is 100% our condos, and the people live there.
Lot of us is from Canada, and can't be in the board, but love love love our property and would like to keep it nice and green with a lot of trees and flowers,
Please clean and replace the trees so we can keep the park atmosfer.

You got my vote
regards

Dear Mr. Sansone,

You have my vote. I agree with you on the need for an Resident-based Board.

As well, although a non-resident, I strongly agree with you on the issue of trees that are cut and not replaced, grass areas replaced with rock material. Trees are an integral part of our property.  When we purchased our property not many years ago, one reason for which we decided to buy was for this community's park-like grounds, with mature trees that provide much-needed shade and filter the air.

Not replacing cut trees causes not only devaluation of our property but decreases the quality of living in Anasazi Village.

I am greatly concerned about this issue. I hope other residents will join you and I in expressing in writing their concerns on the same subject.

Dear Mike..You have our support from  Patricia's and I, After many many years of friendship We are glad that one of our own will be on the Board, We are longtime owners as you know and wanted you to know you have our complete support. We have been somewhat unhappy with the present board after our last visit a couple months ago, We need residents watching over our property not just visitors Look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Chicago

Hi Michael

Ralph Avery here.
I see you plan to run for the Board.

As you may remember I tried and could not break thru all the
Politics.
I wish to offer my help to you to maybe break that mold.

I am here to help if you need it.

Based on what I am seeing as it relates to the entire insurance program
The Board has decided to use a AAA auto insurance agency
that has no background at all as it relates to an HOA.
The Board has however provided that new agency with letters of authority
Which turns over all my policies to that new agency.
On the bright side ……
That will at least provide the association with the proper insurance.
Providing that agency uses them all and not mickey mouse others.
What a way for the Board to thank me
Wow.
I have never in all my 39 years in this business been treated this way.

Anyway

I am here if you need help

Please let me know

Best

New Portillo's in Arizona to hire 200 for new restaurants

Portillo’s, the popular Chicago-based fast-casual restaurant, will hire roughly 200 hourly workers to staff its new Scottsdale location opening in February.
Hiring will begin Jan. 3.
The Scottsdale restaurant will be at the southwest corner of 90th Street and Shea Boulevard. The company will open its second location in Tempe next summer at Rio Salado Parkway and McClintock Drive.
“We are very excited about our Scottsdale opening,” said president and founder of Portillo Restaurant Group Dick Portillo. “Once the word got out that we were coming to Arizona, the response was overwhelming. We look forward to having a positive impact on the local economy with our operations in both Scottsdale and Tempe.”
Applicants can apply in person at the hiring center located at 9160 E. Shea Blvd., Unit 103A in Scottsdale. Applicants also have the option of picking up and dropping off a completed application in the mailbox at the Portillo’s restaurant site.
The restaurant is known for its Italian beef and hot dogs. Its menu also includes Italian sausage, burgers, chicken sandwiches, specialty salads and a renowned chocolate cake.
The Chicago chain announced its Arizona expansion plans in February.
Many of the Phoenix area’s transplanted Chicagoans are giddy to have their beloved Portillo’s finally following them to the desert.
A company spokesperson told the Phoenix Business Journal in August the beloved Chicago icon also is scouting locations in Chandler.
There are 34 Portillo’s Hot Dogs locations across the country, with all but three in Illinois.
For more information, visit the company’s website at www.portillos.com.

Choosing the MISS Foundation as part of your United Way Giving

For those of you who will be filling out United Way donation forms, we would like to ask that you consider designating a portion of your contribution for the MISS Foundation.

We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) volunteer-based organization committed to providing crisis support and long-term aid to families after the death of a child from any cause.

MISS also participates in legislative and advocacy issues, community engagement and volunteerism, and programs to reduce infant and toddler death through research and education.

The MISS Foundation was founded in Arizona by ASU Assistant Professor Joanne Cacciatore following the death of her daughter Cheyenne.

It now has 75 chapters worldwide including active support groups, in-person and online, along with many mentors volunteering to support bereaved families.

It's simple to add the MISS Foundation to your United Way form:  On the bottom of the page, under Option C, you can fill in:
  • "MISS Foundation, 77 East Thomas Road, #112, Phoenix, AZ 85012,"
  • VSUW Agency Code "8052"
  • and the amount you'd like to designate.
Thank you for your consideration of our request especially now at holiday time.
