Thank You For Your Kindness

A BIG Heartfelt Thank You to Matt V & Frank W, Managing partners for Veterans Services United in Phoenix,( My Bosses) For their very generous donation to the MISS Foundations Sad Dads Club Support Group which I facilitate .

They have equipped us with a New portable shade booth for events, also Sad Dads Banners,Portable tables,Custom Brochures about the Sad Dads Club and a barrel full of give away items for us to use at events.

We will be doing our 1st event at the MISS walk here in Phoenix in October, and will use this very special gift to spread the word of our group at other events in the Valley also this year.

To Matt and Frank, Your overflowing hearts will help many people who use our group after the loss of their children..Thank You's are not enough to say for this very kind and generous gift you have provided. The Sad Dads Club & MISS Foundation Thank you so very much

Sad Dads Club Anniversary

1 year ago this week Barry Kluger invited a group of Dads to a monthly hang at Morton’s in Scottsdale, That night we were interviewed by a reporter named Kevin Kennedy from channel 12, The piece was about Dads who lost a child and also awareness to the Farley-Kluger Bill.
The Reporter dubbed us the Sad Dads Club during interview,

A couple weeks later we formed the Sad Dad’s Club Social Group and 3 months later Myself AND Theo Soumalis were granted a Dads only group with MISS Foundation. We are now in our 9th month of Support groups for the Dad’s

We have been honored to share children’s stories with many Dads over the last 9 months, and Theo and I would like to say thank you for sharing them with us and others

I wish to thank all those who helped us to this point and to the Dad’s that have joined us here or in support group. Without the help from many, this may have not been a much sought out group for those Dads who share this incredible loss.

On This Father’s Day The Sad Dads wish you a gentle day
Please join us Thursday June 25th ..@6:30pm  MISS Foundation Offices

International Kindness Day July 27th

As Kindness Day approaches on July 27th, I have the last 4 years taken 100 Roses and laid them at the Stones of the Children gone too soon at the Angel of Hope and Also roses at the Angel .

This year I will continue the tradition and fill the Angel of Hope with Love for all the Children Taken too soon. Please think about doing a Random Act of Kindness on July 27th.

Sad Dads Club

So what is this piece about I am asked??? This is a group of Dads who also unfortunately lost a child. This is a great dads group, in a different setting than that of the past, We had all agreed we wanted a different setting. We did not want to sit in a room with no windows and sit in a circle >>nothing wrong with that ...This was just not us !! This is just a new breed of Dads who have found a different way to talk, console, laugh..Yes Laugh in a lighter arena, and yet support each other fully The Host of this is Barry David Kluger..We met on Friday at Mortons in Kierland and were taped by Channel 12 news. It was a Special Nite and we have agreed to do this on a regular basis. It was a casual evening on the Patio at Mortens with much talk, Tears, hugs and laughter. Thanks again Barry Kluger, Barry Adkins,Steve Larsen and Darren. This evening was very warm and appreciated spending this nite with a great bunch of Guys I wish I did not have to meet under these terms. But it did help launch a new avenue for a support group and a way for us guys to get together and keep our memories alive in our comfort level.. Thank You !!
