After many hours of work I would like Thank Mayor Stanton
It is my pleasure to announce that the Mayor of Phoenix Greg Stanton will declare May 19th Bereaved Parent's Day. The Mayor will be signing a proclamation in a ceremony at the May 7th counsel meeting at 2:30pm.
Every year after the 3rd Sunday of May will honor those parents who grieve the loss of their children gone too soon.
Everyone is invited to come to the counsel meeting on May 7th where The MISS Foundation will be presented the proclamation and honored for the work we do with Bereaved Parents.
Please save the date, mark your calendars, clear your schedule and be at this most historic moment where bereaved parents will not be forgotten, but honored, loved and supported forever more in Phoenix AZ.

Dear Mr. Sansone:
Thank you for contacting
me to share your views regarding S. 1358, the Parental Bereavement Act of
2011. I appreciate knowing your thoughts on this issue.
As you may know, S. 1358
would expand the Family and Medical Leave act of 1993 to allow for up to 12
workweeks of unpaid leave due to the death of a son or daughter. This bill was
introduced in the Senate on July 13, 2011 and was referred to the Senate
Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP). As a member of the
Senate HELP Committee, please be assured that I will keep your concerns in mind
should this legislation be considered in the full Senate.
Thank you for taking the
time to share your views. Please feel free to contact me on this or any
other matter of concern.
Sincerely,
John McCain
United States Senator
